The Vikings, playing at Morshead Park for the first time this year, cruised to a 3-1 win over the former Football Victoria men's state league three north-west ladder leaders.
Laurence Tombe scored in the eighth minute to get things rolling for the hosts before an own goal saw the scores locked together at 1-1 at the break. Skipper Adrian Curtain converted from the penalty spot in the 60th minute to give the Vikings the lead once again before Kuanyjal Tuany completed the result with a strike shortly before full time.
Fawkner came close to scoring on a number of other occasions, but in the end the Vikings held firm to secure their second-straight win.
For Sebastopol coach Michael Goodman, the result was reward for the side's hard work and persistence.
"I thought we were knocking on the door all the time and I think we troubled their back four from minute one to 90. And it showed in the end with the result," Goodman said.
"I was thoroughly pleased with the performance from the boys and the effort."
That result has left the team fifth on the table ahead of this Saturday's FFA Cup clash with NPLV2 outfit Murray United. The tie is scheduled to start at 2pm at Morshead Park.
Following that match, the Vikings' state league season will continue with another home clash on April 27. Here, the side will come up against the third-placed Upfield, which beat Westvale 1-0 at the weekend.
