The Easter Bunny is working with the Lions Club of Ballarat and will be bringing plenty of cheer to the community, starting with a get together at Aldi in Creswick Road on Saturday morning from 10am.
Then on Sunday, it will hop over to the children's ward at the Ballarat Base Hospital handing out eggs and plenty of cuddles to sick youngsters who are unable to make it home for the holiday.
Lions Club president Bill Sleep said the Easter Bunny would be helping the association raise money for childhood cancer.
He said the hospital visit was one of the highlights of the year.
"Just to see the look on the faces of the youngsters when we arrive at the hospital, it's just priceless," he said.
"Their whole faces light up and it really does bring some joy. There's nothing worse than being a child in hospital at Easter."
Mr Sleep said it was the sixth year the Ballarat Lions Club had run the fundraiser for children with cancer.
