Former North Ballarat Roosters VFL player Lachlan George heads the newcomers for the Lions, which take on Ballarat at Alfredton.
Originally from Skipton, George arrives having also played with Tasmania, Box Hill and Williamstown in the VFL.
George will go head-to-head against former Roosters teammates Andrew Hooper and Keegan Mellington in the round two clash.
Redan also welcomes back another former North Ballarat player Gus Cleary after a year at Casterton-Sandford.
Daniel Bond (Wondonga Raiders), Dylan Page (Learmonth) and Liam O'Brien (East Point) are other recruits named.
Bond steps up from under-19 ranks in the Ovens and Murray league and O'Brien takes his chance after playing under-16.5s last season.
Page is returning to Redan after last playing with Learmonth in CHFL a few years ago.
Ballarat will be without injured recruits Nick Weightman (hamstring) and Tom Thewlis (shoulder) with GWV Rebels duo Jed Hill and Patrick Glanford possible starters.
