The owner of the car was alerted to the blaze shortly after 8pm by a passer-by who knocked on his door to tell him his car was on fire.
The latest blaze came just minutes after crews were called out to another car on fire in bushland near Lake Burrumbeet.
The fire at Burrumbeet was about 100m inland from Remembrance Drive, about 700m past the Burrumbeet Caravan Park.
Police and emergency service crews are treating both of the fires as suspicious.
In all, nine cars have now been found burned out in the Soldiers Hill area this year, however Thursday night's fire is the first in over a month.
A CFA spokesperson told The Courier there had been a number of incidents within the Soldiers Hill area and he was concerned that whoever was lighting the fires, was not fully aware of the damage that could be done.
Thursday night's fire was surrounded by trees and other cars.
If you have any information or happened to see anyone loitering around the Neill Street area on Thursday night, contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
