The Tigers kicked three goals to zip in the final term - including the winner from Joel Maher just a few minutes before the final siren - to win the clash by a solitary point.

Dunnstown looked to have control of the match when it led by 18 points at the last change, but its disappointing fourth-quarter display leaves it winless after four rounds.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are now 10^th on the ladder after their second-straight victory.

Over at Waubra, it was the Roos that took out the top-of-the-table showdown with Rokewood-Corindhap.

The home side was led by Lukich brothers James (five goals) and Geordie in the 12.15 (87) to 9.3 (57) success.

Waubra is now the only unbeaten team in the competition after four rounds.

Elsewhere, Newlyn claimed an important win in the big battle with Gordon.

The Cats, which were missing key forward Marcus Darmody, were guided by joint-coach Dan Wehrung, who booted four goals in a best on ground display.

In the end, Newlyn won the match by 36 points.

Other games on Saturday saw Beaufort beat Bungaree, Daylesford register its first triumph of the 2019 season against Ballan, Learmonth defeat Clunes, Creswick prevail over Carngham-Linton and Hepburn get the better of a fast-finishing Skipton.
