Coming into the season, new Rokewood-Corindhap player/coach Ruby Parry told The Courier she was confident the Grasshoppers would contend in the Central Highlands Netball League A-Grade competition.
Following a week one loss to defending premiers Learmonth, Rokewood-Corindhap has been on a roll, winning their past three games to sit in sixth position on the ladder after four rounds.
"We've been jelling really well," she said.
"There's just so much love on this team, we play for each other and believe we can win every time we step on the court."
That love was on display in the Grasshoppers 17-goal win over the now 12th placed Waubra. Parry pointed to mid-court player Elizabeth Denouden as a big reason why Rokewood-Corindhap has enjoyed such success after round one.
"Lizzy has been great all season, she's been fantastic to have as that consistent presence in the mid-court."
Elsewhere the competition's top three teams all remained undefeated at the end of Saturday's games.
Learmonth and Hepburn both put together dominant performances, registering 69-19 wins over Clunes and Skipton respectively.
Springbank remain unbeaten after squeezing out a one-point victory over at home against Dunnstown.
Bungaree got their second win of the year with a 30-goal victory over the Crows while Carngham-Linton proved too good for Creswick, Ballan put 80 goals on Daylesford and Gordon kept Newlyn without a win on the year.

BALLARAT FNL
North Ballarat City have snatched a late game lead to secure a come from behind win against Lake Wendouree in the Ballarat Football Netball League.
It was a see-sawing affair on Saturday which saw Lake Wendouree take an early lead on the back of hot start at Mars Stadium.
After settling late in the first quarter, City evened up the game up, but were unable to get on top of the Lakers as the two teams went goal for goal.
Ongoing pressure from Lake Wendouree provided them a late lead in the last few minutes of the match. Some timely aggression from North Ballarat defenders Emma Church and Laura McDonald caused panic among the attackers who succumbed to crucial late turnovers.
North Ballarat coach Annie McCartin said the defensive efforts of the pair provided the backbone of her team's tightly fought 47-44 victory.
"They managed to read the ball coming in at that vital time and that was necessary to do so," she said.
"It was like all of a sudden they knew they had to do something and they stood up."
The victory takes North Ballarat City to two wins and zero losses in the BFNL A-grade competition, placing them third on the ladder behind Sunbury and East Point. After edging out East Point in last year's season decider, coach McCartin is satisfied with her sides early form.
"Things are going good, we're just trying to get into a bit of a routine," she said.
Despite two early losses in the season, coach McCartin heaped praise on Lake Wendouree saying she expects them to be in the mix at the end of the year.
"They're good, they apply a lot of pressure," she said.
"They match-up so well against us and they are always a competitive team to play. They'll be there for sure."
Elsewhere Bacchus Marsh has outscored Darley by fifteen goals in the second half of their match to win 53-40, Sunbury were comfortable winners in their 61-38 victory over Melton South, while East Point thumped Melton 76-38.
