Cassomenos began writing music age seven and over the past 20 years has established himself as one of Australia's leading pianists.
At the DHMPR at the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts on May 11, Cassomenos will perform the Liszt/Wagner Tannhauser Overture, Liszt's Mephisto Waltz No 1, and Liszt/Beethoven's Symphony No 1 in C Major, op 21.
The recital honours Don Huntley, who was instrumental in establishing the Centre for Performing Arts, supporting music at Ballarat Grammar and throughout Ballarat.
"Ballarat Grammar is thrilled to welcome back Melbourne pianist Stefan Cassomenos as guest artist for the 2019 Don Huntley Memorial Piano recital," said director of music Andrew Dale.
"This premier music event, now in its 14th year, continues to grow in reputation and is guaranteed to impress all who attend."
