Ballarat City remain without a win across the first three weeks of their Football Victoria women's state league one north-west campaign after going down to Old Xaverians SC 4-1 at home.

The game was a stalemate for much of a contest after both teams scored in the first half. The Old Xaverians found the back of the net first after Esther Yong scored in the 29th minute.
Ballarat City hit back in the 40th minute after Alexandria Murphy got a hold of the ball in the box and was able to out-maneuver Old Xaverians the goalkeeper to level the scores.
Everything fell apart for Ballarat City after the 85th minute as they conceded three goals in the final 10 minutes, including a penalty in the 95th minute to ultimately lose 4-1.
City's next game will be on the road against the also win-less Hoppers Crossing SC who suffered a 3-0 loss to the Eltham Redbacks at the weekend and are yet to score a goal in the competition.
