"When you're four and zero you don't really have anything to complain about," he said.
Springbank sit third on the ladder after the first four games, only trailing other undefeated teams Hepburn and Learmonth by percentage. Kydd said he has been very impressed with what his team has shown him thus far in 2019.
"We've had some tough games, of course Dunnstown last week (45-44 win for the Tigers) and Buninyong (56-45 round two victory) earlier, I think having the experience we do where our girls have jelled together when the going gets tough is really impressive. From individual standpoints I think our leaders such as Kelly Conroy have stood up as they're used to doing - both ends of the court have looked really slick."
Ensuring his side is ready for anything that might come their way has been a big part of the Tigers season with Kydd experimenting with moving players out of the usual positions.
"We've been putting players into a few different positions just to test it out. Last year Learmonth were far too good for us in the end because we probably couldn't adjust quick enough - we're swinging some of our goalers into wing areas just to change it up just in case we ever need it."
Through the first four weeks of competition Kydd has noticed the standard rise from last year which he believes is due high volumes of player movement.
"Players have moved around a little bit more - some of the second-tier teams that may have finished fifth through eighth last year have picked up some strong players and as a result they've really come up to the top-four level of play."
Kydd remains confident some finals the experience and time the Tigers have spent together will pay dividends.
"My hope is that when it comes to the end of the season our experience will shine through but until then we're just going to take it game by game."
