The annual Mother's Day Classic is back in action and remains open for walk-up entries from 7.30am at the event base along Windmill Drive, opposite the adventure playground.
About 600 people got pinked-up to walk or run the Ballarat Mother's Day Classic last year, raising $22,000 as part of the $2.1 million national effort towards breast cancer research and awareness.
For those wanting to take action, the Ballarat Classic will feature 12 and six-kilometre runs and a 6km walk, led out by survivors. Participants run or walk anti-clockwise about the lake.
Classic events across the nation raised more than $35 million for National Breast Cancer Foundation in two decades. More details: mothersdayclassic.com.au/events.
