The Ballarat cyclist hit the line third in the Grafton to Inverall one-day classic - the third race in the NRS - on Saturday.
Second overall in the NRS last year, White heads the points aggregate with BridgeLane teammate Dylan Sunderland.
William Hodges (Oliver's Real Food Racing) won the Grafton to Inverall in a sprint finish from Sunderland, with White 25 seconds back in third.
White has contested two NRS events, having won the Melbourne to Warrnambool in February before embarking on a successful overseas trip on which the national under-23 road race champion took out a stage of the Tour of Taiwan.
White's older brother Liam (Drapac Cannondale Holistic Development) is equal 18th overall in the NRS.
He also made his presence felt on the road to Inverall with eighth.
