The Rebels went down to the undefeated Northern Knights in the final round of the competition 50-5. Cahir said the scoreline does not adequately represent his team's effort.
"We we're very competitive for three quarters of the game," he said.
"In the second quarter we has a few missed opportunities that could have brought us right back into the game."
In the end the Knights were too strong, running away as 45-point winners.
The loss will be the final game for top-age players Sophie Molan, Ella Wood and Nekaela Butler. Cahir said he was proud of their effort across the season and saw great development from all three players.
"They were tremendous leaders all season and all have a lot of talent to offer."
