United kept its third clean sheet in succession while goals to Josh Duffy, Adam Sadler, Owen Turbitt and Dylan Nulty helped record an easy victory.
That result has lifted the side from fourth to second and to just two points behind division one open ladder-leaders Warrnambool Rangers.
The Rangers also tasted success on Sunday with a 3-2 win over Ballarat North United.
Elsewhere, Maryborough landed its second triumph of 2019 at the expense of bottom side Creswick.
Julian Callea scored twice for the visitors, which also had Thomas Clinton and Seng Ngim find the back of the net.
Other round six winners were Forest Rangers and Sebastopol Vikings.
In the division one women's league, Ballarat beat Victoria Park 10-0 and Ballarat North United drew 2-2 with Forest Rangers.
