Ms Brew joined BHS as a newly created executive director of people and culture in November 2016 in the wake of two independent reviews into bullying and harassment through the organisation.
BHS created the position reporting directly to the CEO to oversee an organisational structure review based on the reports' recommendations. The position is also to manage complaints and enhanced staff training.
BHS confirmed the position would remain and the job would be advertised soon.
BHS chief Dale Fraser said Ms Brew had a "distinguished career" in Ballarat and was "appropriately recognised" with her new appointment.
Colac Health's outgoing chief Geoff Iles said Ms Brew's work demanding role with BHS hade her a good fit for the organisation he was leaving after 13 years.
