Ballarat Football Netball League operations officer Shane Anwyl said the player had been handed an unreasonable contact charge.
The investigation centered on Darley's under-17 seniors clash with Mt Clear on April 28. The Devils won the match by 36 points at Darley Park.
Darley has not lost a match this season and sits on top of the ladder ahead of this Sunday's clash with East Point.
Other games in the under-17 seniors this weekend will see Redan host Bacchus Marsh and North Ballarat tackle Mt Clear. Lake Wendouree and Ballarat have the bye.
