The Rush struggled to start the 2019 NBL1 season, losing their first six games, five of which were played on the road.
Now with eight remaining home games and a new-found level of confidence, the team believe their best basketball is ahead of them.
American import Olivia Hackman said winning and playing in front of a home crowd has helped motivate the Rush.
Watch Hackman talk about the win:
"Us being on a two game winning streak feels good right now," she said.
"Being amongst the crowd was amazing, we probably have one of the most supportive communities and it feels really good to have that support."
Ballarat trailed the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence by 10 points at half time on Saturday before outscoring the visitors 39-17 in the second half.
Hackman believes the Rush's defensive intensity was the key in the major turn-around.
"Our defensive in the second half was what got us rolling, we were diving on the floor for loose balls which gave us the momentum on the offensive end to hit some shots."
Ballarat Miners coach Brendan Joyce was ecstatic with the Rush's win and pointed back to a prediction he made last week after their first win.
"I tipped 13 wins in-a-row didn't I?" he laughed.
"I wasn't joking in what I said last week - they can win two more this weekend."
The Rush will next face the Launceston Tornadoes on Saturday evening.
