The City girls were knocked out of the Nike FC Cup by the Lions back in mid-April.
Ballarat has picked up four points from its past two Football Victoria women's state league one north-west fixtures thanks to a forfeit from Hoppers Crossing and a 1-1 draw with Bundoora United last weekend.
Preston Lions sit two spots above City on the table with six points in season 2019.
Friday's match will be played at B.T. Connor Reserve in Reservoir. The senior match is scheduled for an 8.30pm kick-off with the reserves to start at 6.30pm.
After this clash, the City side is back home in round seven.
