City held a 1-0 lead going into half-time of their round 13 clash with the Goulburn Valley Suns before allowing two second half goals.
Despite their struggles, coach James Robinson remains steadfast his side can recover and salvage some positive results from the 14 remaining games this season.
"There are still 42 points up for grabs this season and we'll be going into every game looking for a win," he said.
The Manningham Blues have had an up-and-down year so far, registering four wins, three draws and six losses entering Saturday's game. The are coming off a 2-2 draw with Brunswick City SC in their last contest.
