The Lake Goldsmith Steam Preservation Society Goods Shed Museum will open its doors on June 8 and 9 to showcase vintage collectibles and old railway memorabilia, with vintage cars joining the celebrations.
A steam engine "people mover" will be providing rides around the historic Beaufort town, while vintage movies will be on show in the old railway carriage.
Lake Goldsmith Steam Preservation Association Goods Shed Museum co-ordinator Ron Harris said it was the first time opening the Goods Shed on Queen's Birthday weekend with outside exhibits.
Meanwhile, the highly acclaimed Beaufort Community Bank Pyrenees Art Exhibition and Sale will welcome art lovers to the Beaufort Shire Hall.
More than 100 artists have entered just under 450 works of art to the exhibition.
In the Beaufort RSL Hall an extensive range of books will be on offer at the Rotary Club of Beaufort's Second Hand Book Sale.
We have artists come from all over Victoria and interstate too.
- Anne Beer, Pyrenees Art Exhibition co-ordinator
Pyrenees Art Exhibition coordinator Anne Beer said she was hoping a coordinated effort of different events throughout the long weekend would attract visitors to Beaufort.
"I think if people are going to come to Beaufort the need to have more than one thing to do," she said.
"If the weather is fine Beaufort Lake has a very interesting aboriginal art trail that is worth having a look at too. We have walks and nature experiences that are close as well."
Ms Beer said the art exhibition that is in its 14th generally attracted 500 to 600 people, which made Queen's Birthday Long Weekend one of the busiest weekends in the town.

"If we can bring people to Beaufort they will hopefully have a meal or coffee somewhere and spend some time around the town," she said.
"We have artists come from all over Victoria and interstate too. It is becoming a very popular and well appreciated art exhibition. A lot have been coming for all 14 years it has been running."
Tickets to the Pyrenees Art Exhibition will also include entry to the Art Trax Gallery and Devonshire Tea.
