Police believe the incident, made by unknown offenders, may be linked to a series of similar break-ins and damage at the station.
Cars parked overnight have been the target of vandalism at least four times in the past two months with cars also hit in similar incidents at Ballarat Railway Station and McCain's.
The Courier understands items were again left strewn on the ground. Police investigators remain working to establish if anything was stolen.
There are CCTV cameras in the area, which were installed with additional lighting when the extra 200 car spaces were built last year.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Trainer told The Courier, after a similar incident a fortnight ago, police were working with protective service officers to give information to drivers about making their cars as unremarkable as possible to limit the chances of theft occurring.
Senior Sergeant Trainer reiterated pleas for people to take valuables out of cars if they need to leave them parked for a long period of time.
Both incidents came after 11 cars were broken into and personal items, including mail with names and addresses, were strewn about the same car park in mid-April.
Anyone with information about any of the incidents is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
