According to a survey conducted by the Pyrenees-based Community Safety Network, 93.5 per cent of residents in the region feel safe which will be shared at community meetings in Avoca and Landsborough this week.
Ballarat and Pyrenees Local Area Commander Inspector Dan Davison said the meetings were an important way of providing feedback to the community.
"We are excited to hopefully impart some knowledge at the same time with some crime prevention tips," Inspector Davison said.
"Overwhelmingly, the Pyrenees communities have told us that they feel safe, so we want to build on that and empower them to make their communities safer.
"The meetings are a great opportunity for people to have a say on the key safety issues in their community."
Community Safety Networks are partnerships between the community, police, state government, Crime Stoppers and Neighbourhood Watch.
The first six Community Safety Networks - Wyndham, Melton, Whittlesea, Cardinia, Latrobe and Ballarat - started last year.
The meetings this week will be held tonight (Tuesday June 4) from 7-9pm at Landsborough Town Hall and tomorrow (Wednesday June 5) at Avoca Country Golf Bowling Club.
