The Rebels looked dangerous early in the contest but were unable to register a goal in the first quarter, instead having to settle for three behinds. Their opponents found no such accuracy issues, opening up a 19-3 lead at the first break.
Eastern blew the game open in the second term, scoring 39 unanswered points. Forward Jordan Jaworski kicked three of his seven goals in the quarter.
The Rebels looked more aggressive coming out of the half-time break, however still struggled to send anything through the big-sticks.
Eastern continued their strong play in the second half, mirroring their first half score en-route to a 116-5 victory. The Rangers dominated the game statistically, leading the game in every major category other than tackles and rebound 50s.
It was clear the Rebels missed key players Toby Mahony, Jay Rantall and Mitch Martin, all of which missed the game due to commitments with the under-18 Vic Country side in Launceston.
Senior player Jed Hill also did not play as he looks to recover from a hamstring injury he sustained playing senior football with the Ballarat Swans. Hill hasn't played since the side's May 19 loss to the Gippsland Power.
The Rebels next chance for a win will have to wait as they have a bye week coming up. Following that they will face the Western Jets at Mars Stadium on June 22.
