The Rush have eight games left to play this season, and Brendan Joyce said the team would need at least six of those to yield a post-season appearance.
It seems a tall ask for a team that lost its first six games. However after winning five of its last six outings, the Rush has proven it's capable of stringing wins together.
The Rush hit a speed bump in the early part of the season when import Chanise Jenkins went down with an injury.
The team's next two games will come against two of the premier sides in the competition in Geelong and Bendigo. Joyce said a win against either of those teams would be huge.
"They've put themselves in a position to make the playoffs. If you can win 11 games you can probably still make it," he said.
