Reigning premier East Point has two changes to the side which suffered a shock loss to North Ballarat City in the Ballarat Football League on Saturday.
Ruckman Jaykeb Lench is back after missing one game, while premiership player Jordan Taylor makes his first appearance for the year after a late start to the season..
Lench returned to the Roos this season to provide veteran Paul Koderenko with important support.
With Koderenko sidelined with a knee issue, Lench will link up with Ryan Walsh to take on BFL representative Jayden Eales against Sunbury at the Eastern Oval on Saturday.
As important as Lench's return is, the Roos will be without two of their best in half back Jesse Baird and midfielder Daniel Semmens, who are resting "niggles"..
East Point is also still without key forward Joel Ottavi, who again lines up for Williamstown in the VFL.
Jack Landt is back for Sunbury after a serving a two-match suspension - effectively replaced his younger brother Dylan Landt, who has been recalled by Essendon in the VFL..
The Lions also lose Mick Edwards, who has been suspended for three matches, as well as skipper Andrew Dahau (knee) and Dylan Featon (corked leg).
Ben Guthrie and Nathan Bridgland have been recalled, while the experienced Tim Hill has worked himself back into the line-up after a late start to his season.
LAKE Wendouree has named youngsters Joel O'Connell and Josh Bibby to face Melton at CE Brown Reserve on Saturday despite them being unable to finish the game out against Sunbury after head knocks last round.
The Lakers have made just two changes with William Henderson and Oliver Yeung getting another opportunity.
DECLAN Phillips will debut for ladder leader Redan against North Ballarat City at the City Oval on Saturday. Phillips moves up from the under-19s.
Jacob Short is back after missing with the flu.
Big defender Ryan Hobbs (knee) makes a return to a winning combination after missing one week and Rebels-listed Riley Polkinghorne gets another chance after making his senior debut earlier in the season.
SEBASTOPOL remains without Matt Austin, and talls Nick Hausler and Toby Hutt as it faces Ballarat for a second time for the season at Alfredton on Saturday.
Jacob Wilkinson gets another chance for a stable Burra.
The Swans' high player rotation continues.
Jack Blackburn (groin), Ben Hobbs (hand) and Izaac Ewing (Greater Western Victoria Rebels) return.
BILLY Griffiths has been passed fit to play for Bacchus Marsh against Melton South at Melton Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
He has had two weekends off, including a bye, since being concussed. Jack Lalor is being rested with back trouble.
Aaron Clarke (Western Jets), Dillon Sharp and Matthew Sullivan bolster the Panthers.
PREVIEWS AND LINE-UPS
BALLARAT v. SEBASTOPOL
at Alfredton
Saturday, 2.15pm
LAST MET: round 1 this year - Burra 12.15 (87) d Swans 9.12 (66)
BALLARAT (11th - 0 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw): fresh from a badly needed bye, the Swans will be aiming to convert some promising efforts into a first win.
The Swans are certainly due for a better run on the injury front after a testing start to the season on that front.
Hopefully coach Joe Carmody can consolidate a line-up around Andrew Hooper, Daniel Kennedy and Bailey Van De Heuvel and kick on.
Ballarat does have a habit of pushing the Burra.
SEBASTOPOL (6th - 3 wins, 3 losses): although there are still been some important cogs in the side missing, the Burra has picked up a couple of pivotal wins.
This game is as important as any to date, given the run it has for the rest of the year.
Seven of its remaining 10 games are against sides in the top six, plus Sunbury at Clarke Oval.
Sebastopol needs to win this well given the level it will need to reach to make finals.

EAST POINT v. SUNBURY
at Eastern Oval
Saturday, 2.15pm
LAST MET: round 10 last year - Lions 11.12 (78) d Roos 11.8 (74)
EAST POINT (2nd - 5 wins, 2 losses): two defeats in a row. Who saw that coming?
The Roos have had a few injuries, but they have had to deal with that all year and they have regained a few players.
The loss of ruckmen Paul Koderenko and Jaykeb Lench have probably hit the hardest, but its midfield class should be able to cover this.
Expect a big response.
SUNBURY (7th - 4 wins, 3 losses): can the Lions do it two weeks in a row? Win in Ballarat that is.
One thing is for sure they will never get East Point so susceptible after back-to-back defeats.
What they will also face though is an extra determined East Point.
There is no shortage of firepower, but they will need to be up and about from the first bounce.
It has already been made clear to them that they cannot afford to get a away to a slow start again as they did against Lakers and got away with.

LAKE WENDOUREE v. MELTON
at CE Brown Reserve
Saturday, 2.15pm
LAST MET: elimination final last year - Bloods 10.16 (76) d Lakers 8.6 (54)
LAKE WENDOUREE (9th - 2 wins, 4 losses, 1 draw): it is not getting any easier for Lakers.
They have let some real opportunities slip and now face an uphill battle to resurrect their season.
Ultimately a lack of big-bodied key positions players has made it tough, putting extra pressure on their running game and a sizeable group of youngsters still learning the caper.
There has been no shortage of desire. It might be just where they are at in their development.
MELTON (4th - 4 wins, 2 losses): getting the points over Redan - that was the win it needed.
Now it is time to get its campaign into full swing off the back of that game.
The Bloods are starting to tick over nicely with wins over Darley and Redan resinforcing their potential to get a top two finish and take a big shot at a second consecutive grand final appearance.
Getting Matt Denham and Ben Archard back has made the world of difference by way of extra versatility.

MELTON SOUTH v. BACCHUS MARSH
at Melton Recreation Reserve
Saturday, 2.15pm
LAST MET: round 4 last year - Cobras 10.21 (81) d Panthers 7.9 (51)
MELTON SOUTH (10th - 1 win, 5 losses): although they were coming off a win, losing six players from their first victory was never going to help the Panthers and it showed at Sebastopol.
It is also the nature of where it is at that South is going fluctuate in its form.
There will be no quick fix and as coach Heath Pritchard rightly consistently says the Panthers have to stay firm in their resolve and stick with the course they are plotting.
If they can take a little more time to find targets more often, it will be a step in the right direction.
BACCHUS MARSH (5th - 3 wins, 3 losses): the Cobras should stretch their winning run to four.
Fixture-wise, they have had a charmed run with their latest four games all at home, so having to play away offers a new challenge.
The Marsh might be stretched on some bigger grounds down the track, but this is a venue which should suit.
There looks to be plenty of improvement in the Cobras too.
PREDICTION: Bacchus Marsh

REDAN v. NORTH BALLARAT CITY
at City Oval
Saturday, 2.15pm
LAST MET: round 2 last year - City 15.13 (103) d Lions 14.5 (89)
REDAN (1st - 5 wins, 1 loss): Redan came back to earth with a thud at Melton.
Coach Jarrett Giampaolo spoke pre-match about the danger of not being at 100 per cent and Lions paid the price for exactly that against a quality side.
Redan always plays its best football at home and it is also certain to be revved up knowing North will be on a high.
With top position at stake, Redan has much to play for and will be looking to make amends.
NORTH BALLARAT (8th - 2 wins, 4 losses): what a difference one win can make. Down and struggling, a win over East Point gives North a completely different outlook.
It will without doubt make a big difference to the mindset of its younger and less experienced players, who now know what can be achieved even when up against the odds.
North City is the outsider, but not completely out of it.
