The 15-year-old and 16-year-old boys, who cannot be named, did not make an application for bail during the appearances by video link on Wednesday.
They were both remanded in custody to re-appear in a children's court for a contested mention on June 24.
Police allege the pair were in a stolen car during the May 21 pursuit, which ended when it crashed at the Humffray and Mair streets intersection.
Police used an airwing to track the vehicle's movements after reports it was out of control.
The teenagers were arrested in Scott Parade and later charged with more than 20 offences each, including car theft, aggravated burglary, unlicensed driving and bail offences.
