City faced off against the Victory to open their 2019 campaign, going down 4-0 at Epping Stadium.
Now City's young players have two-thirds of a season of experience under their belt and a plethora of new players to throw at Melbourne when they make the journey to Ballarat.
A secondary story-line to watch on Saturday afternoon will be the battle of the Lauton brothers.
Ballarat siblings Jordon and Leighton Lauton will welcome back brother Brandon Lauton to their home town for the first time this year.
Jordon has impressed Robinson with some stellar play off the bench for City while Leighton has spent much of the season playing with Ballarat's under-20 side.
Brandon spent time with the club in the past, appearing in multiple games across 2016 before making the move to Melbourne Victory.
