Ballarat has enjoyed a good run of form over it's past two games, securing strong victories against Sebastopol and Darley.
A win against Sunbury would be huge for the Swans as they have struggled against some of the top competition in the league, falling to East Point, Lake Wendouree and Bacchus Marsh.
The Lions will be aiming to hand the Swan's their fourth loss of the year and potentially push them out of the top six of the BFNL ladder.
Coming off their top-of-the-table loss to East Point in round eight, the Lions will be hoping to get back to their winning ways and put together a strong outing against the Swans, who they have yet to face in 2019.
East Point will get to rest their bodies after the hard-fought win over Sunbury as they enjoy their first bye of the season in round nine.
Elsewhere the Bloods will be looking to secure what would be a huge victory for their 2019 campaign at home against North Ballarat City.
Melton has been the surprise team of the competition so far in 2019, having already registered three wins this season compared to one one win across 2017-18.
Having only lost to East Point and Sunbury, North will be looking to avoid an upset and maintain their top-three spot on the ladder.
FIXTURE:
Darley v Lake Wendouree
Melton v North Ballarat City
Redan v Melton South
Sebastopol v Bacchus Marsh
Sunbury v Ballarat
East Point bye
