City lost 3-2 in the contest which was played at Epping Stadium on Saturday. Ballarat's one and only win this season had come against Whittlesea back in round-two.
Meanwhile the Sebastopol Vikings lost 1-0 to Lalor United at Morshead Park on Saturday. The loss keeps the Vikings in ninth place on the Football Victoria state league three north-west ladder.
Ballarat SC also went-down after losing 5-1 to the Keilor Wolves on the road. The loss drops Ballarat to fifth spot in the Football Victoria state league five west competition.
Ballarat City will face-off with Moreland today in the Women's State League 1 North-West competition.
