Jayden Stanley Blomley, of Smythes Road, Delacombe, Brody Harrison Burke, of Scarsdale-Pitsfield Road, Cape Clear, and Bon Dylan Pails, of Warrina Drive, Delacombe, have all been committed to stand trial in the Warrnambool County Court.

They all entered not guilty pleas to four serious assault charges but their lawyers said discussions were continuing in relation to some of the charges.

A directions hearing has been set down in the Warrnambool court for July 9.

The men were released on the same bail conditions they have been on for the last 18 months.

Police allege a Warrnambool teenager and two friends were involved in an incident with the Ballarat district men about 12.50am on January 21 last year.

Detective Senior Constable Craig Wastell, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, previously said the men had been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, intentionally causing injury with gross violence, intentionally causing injury and affray.

A then Warrnambool 17-year-old was rushed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital after the incident suffering a fractured skull, cheekbone, suspected fractured eye socket and bleeding on the brain.

He has undertaken extensive rehabilitation.

Security camera footage was obtained from a neighbour which led to the Ballarat district men being identified after they went to Warrnambool licensed premises after the incident near the intersection of Banyan and Cramer streets.
