The probe was sparked by Creswick after the round eight reserves game between the Wickers and the Tigers.
After interviewing relevant parties, the investigator found that Wethling had a case to answer.
He has been charged with two counts of unbecoming conduct in relation to Creswick players Tim Jankovic and Mitchell Jarvis.
