The Kangaroos have taken up the cause at the urgings of player Mitch Walsh.
His uncle and Daylesford football identity Steve Walsh was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2015.
Daylesford Football Netball Club ran a fundraiser in association with MND Victoria late last year and Mitch said this and other MND campaigns such as the Neale Daniher-driven "Big Freeze" had inspired him to organise the special day in support of his uncle's battle.
Walsh has designed a special jumper to be worn against Bacchus Marsh at the Eastern Oval.
More than 80 jumpers have already been sold as part of the fund-raising effort.
East Point netballers are also taking part, wearing blue hair ribbons.
Walsh said he was appreciative of the way the club had rallied behind the cause.
Walsh addressed the senior player group on MND. Players also viewed a Neale Daniher video.
He said Saturday would feature various fund-raising efforts, with donations sought from spectators and activities at a social night.
SUNBURY has secured another late signing.
Aaron Christensen has returned to the Lions after spending the first half of the year playing in Sydney.
Recruited from Macedon in the Riddell District league last year, the former Coburg VFL player's mid-season return was plotted at the start of the Christensen this year.
He moved to the Habour City with work and will continue to be based there.
