The Towners broke their 2019 drought with victory against Rokewood-Corindhap.
Dunnstown led at every change and pulled away late to record a 36-point win on the Grasshoppers' home turf.
Will Henderson and Harry McKimmie were the best for the Towners, which had Tim Collins, Mitch Henderson and Matt Bulluss kick two goals each.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Carngham-Linton landed a memorable and surprise victory over arch rivals Skipton.
In the first game at Snake Valley for 2019, the Saints got the early jump on the Emus and the heavy rain made it hard for the visitors to reel in the margin.
Skipton hit back in the third term and closed the hosts' lead to 12 points at the final change, but despite wasting a stack of chances in the last quarter, the Saints were able to go on and record a 15-point win.
The success was the second this season for stand-in coach Tom Sarah, who took over following the departure of Matt Beaston last month.
Meanwhile, Beaufort scored an important win over Hepburn to climb back inside the Central Highlands Football League top eight.
The Crows got home in the spa country by eight points with Brendan Howard named the team's best.
It was announced this week that Howard and Mitch Jenkins will take over the senior coaching role from Rohan Brown at the end of the 2019 season.
Other round 11 matches on Saturday saw Buninyong beat Ballan, Newlyn hold Clunes goalless in an 87-point success, Gordon come away with a good triumph in the battle with Creswick, Bungaree beat Daylesford in a thriller by a solitary point and Springbank prove too good for Learmonth.
