The Rebels got out to a slow start, with Dandenong kicking the first two goals of the game.
Following these goals, the Rebels rose to the challenge, not allowing the Stingrays a major score for the remainder of the first half. They added six unanswered goals to this stellar defence, leading to a 38-15 half time lead.
The Ray's simply couldn't match the size of the Rebels in the ruck with Patrick Glanford back in the side following a stint on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
Glanford helped the Rebels to a 62-28 hit out advantage.
The Rebels could not pull much further away in the second half, only managing two goals over the final two quarters. It would ultimately be enough in the end as the Rebels ran away with the victory.
