A woman who ran a red light in the middle of Ballarat was disqualified and had methamphetamine in her system, the Ballarat Magistrates' Court was told.

Police intercepted Rebecca Langan, 34, in Sebastopol in October 2018, where she was told her licence had been disqualified for three months, and the car's registration had expired.
In December 2018, police spotted her driving on the Midland Highway at the Dana Street traffic lights.
She went through a red traffic light without slowing or stopping, according to the police summary.
An oral fluid test revealed the presence of meth in her system, which she denied using.
Her defence lawyer said her licence had been disqualified as her former partner had loaned her vehicle to his friend, who had "racked up demerit points", and when she moved house, she did not receive any notification.
He also noted she has not committed any offence since, and had no priors.
Magistrate Ross Betts warned Langan it was a serious matter.
"You run the risk of going to jail," he said.
She was convicted and fined $1000, and disqualified from driving for six months.
