The Miners will be without Marqueze Coleman, Josh Fox and Ross Weightman in the side's upcoming game against Waverley. Joyce confirmed back-up forward Jordan Lingard will start in place of the absent Fox, which will allow the team to build up some more depth before the finals.
"When we get to the finals we need players to come off the bench and have an instant impact," he said.
"In the finals, if someone gets in foul trouble or someone gets hurt you need to be able to put anybody out there who can hold their own."
Coach Brendan Joyce played all 12 players in the Saturday's win over Hobart and was satisfied with how they executed.
He said he expected them to play with confidence this week.
