It's the last weekend of the spectacular Knights of Fire which has spent the winter school holidays at Kryal Castle. A daily highlight is the spectacular Joust of The Flame as Sir Hector meets Sir Reynard in a fiery clash of flaming lances and swords on the castle's main arena. The breathtaking fire jump as part of the Skill At Arms display will leave you in awe.
SOVEREIGN HILL CHRISTMAS IN JULY: WINTER WONDERLIGHTS

Sovereign Hill from 10am daily until July 21. Cost $62 adults, $27.80 children (5-15), $49.70 concession, $157 family and $112 single family.
Enjoy the spectacle of thousands of fairy lights as part of Sovereign Hill's Christmas in July: Winter Wonderlights. During the day visitors can enjoy fun-filled pantomimes and theatre performances, join in Christmas-themed arts and crafts, stock up on traditional Christmas decorations, sample our delicious, limited edition Winter Wonderlights lemon meringue drops, and try to catch the cheeky Gingerbread man. Faux snow will fall at regular intervals over the Victorian-style buildings and the smell of Christmas treats will fill the air as visitors are swept up in the excitement of a special European-style Christmas.
By night, listen to live music, dance in the faux snowfalls and watch on as Sovereign Hill is transformed with an incredible new light projection show.

The Ballarat Activated ArtWalk encourages visitors to learn the hidden stories of the laneways, buildings and streets of Ballarat and the people that have lived, love and continue to make the tales of Ballarat. Walk the streets of Ballarat and bring six special artworks to life through your smartphone by downloading the Eye Jack app.

Backspace Gallery, Art Gallery of Ballarat
A new exhibition Place and People brings together the work of landscape artist Alan Leishman and portrait artist Alison Parkinson at Backspace Gallery. Ms Parkinson has painted 48 portraits over the past year, revealing a diverse group of sitters who have taken a brief pause to become her subjects.
Mr Leishman finds peace and often surprise when he starts painting a landscape in front of him.
"The starting point for a painting is always something that takes me by surprise in some way - the subject dictates how I treat the work and what I am after is my vision of the thing, rather than the literal element."
EUREKA ARMS AND MILITARIA FAIR

The 31st Eureka Arms and Militaria Fair returns to Wendouree Sports and Events Centre. This popular annual fair will have more than 160 trading tables with displays, antique and modern arms, medals, knives, swords, badges, uniforms, hunting and shooting supplies and clothing, collectable ammunition, security equipment and more.
WINTER SOIREE - AN AFTERNOON OF MUSIC THEATRE AND OPERA EXCERPTS

Enjoy an afternoon concerts to raise funds for a community reflection garden at St Matthew's Wendouree. A community lunch will be served from 12.15pm to 1.45pm, with performances starting from 2pm.
BALLAN FARMER'S MARKET

The Ballan Farmer's Market is back for July with its wide variety of local produce and goods for everyone. The community-based and volunteer-run not-for-profit market donates all proceeds back to local charities and organisations.

Ballarat Farmer's Market features stalls with a wide range of fresh produce and processed goods. Many stallholders are seasonal, so no two markets are the same as the make-up of stalls changes throughout the year.
JAPANESE BEER, WHISKEY AND DUMPLING TASTING

Take a taste of Japan at The Mallow with limited tickets still available for a special tasting event. Enjoy a Japanese Hitachino beer on arrival, followed by four courses of gyoza (dumpling) snacks accompanied by tastings of Japanese beer and Japanese whisky. Japanese whisky has its own unique characteristics that are inspired by but distinct from Scotch whisky.

FACING UP PROJECT

Held as part of NAIDOC week, the Facing Up Project uses the Prime Ministers Avenue to give voice to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in relation to Prime Ministerial Statements throughout history.
Directed by Lynden Nicholls, Facing Up returns to the gardens after being a popular part of BOAA.
ST JOHN OF GOD HOSPITAL MATERNITY OPEN DAY
