A 22-year-old man allegedly pushed the barrel of a gun into a woman's rib cage and led her into a bathroom to rape her, a jury has been told.
But Nicholas Morse told the Ballarat jury on Friday nothing like that occurred on the night of July 15, 2017, in Redan.
"Nothing happened that night ... There was no rape, no sexual conduct on her whatsoever," defence barrister Shane Kennedy said.
Crown prosecutor Gary Hevey detailed the numerous sexual references Morse allegedly made to the 25-year-old complainant while she was at his Redan house with a girlfriend.
"Morse approached (the woman), sat next to her and said, 'Hey you, I haven't had sex for a month-and-a-half and my balls are about to blow'," Mr Hevey said.
He said Morse came up to the woman from behind and started grabbing her breasts and buttocks while thrusting against her.
Mr Hevey said Morse appeared with a firearm and pushed the barrel into the woman's rib cage, while making threats to harm her son.
He allegedly said: "If you know what's good for you, or if you are as smart as I think you are, you will listen to me".
"Morse led (the woman) into the bathroom with the gun held against her. She moved into the bathroom because she feared of her son's safety," Mr Hevey said.
He said Morse then forced open her legs and sexually penetrated her. The woman gave evidence in a closed court on Friday.
The jury was told Morse and two other males at the house had been drinking alcohol, while the complainant had three drags of synthetic marijuana and immediately felt the effects.
Morse has pleaded not guilty to five charges including two counts of sexual assault and one count of rape.
He has admitted four weapons charges including being a non-prohibited person possessing a handgun, dealing with a sawn-off shot gun suspected to be the proceeds of crime, and possessing knuckle dusters and cartridge ammunition.
The trial will continue on Monday before Judge Howard Mason.
