Trigg's major was the only one the reigning premiers could manage in one of the most low-scoring matches in Central Highlands Football League history.
Pat Taranto booted Creswick's only goal in the third term, but it wasn't enough as the Crows recorded a 1.6 (12) to 1.3 (9) success.
Beaufort remains seventh on the ladder after the triumph, while the Wickers stay 11th.
On a tough day for football across the competition, the top seven teams all recorded wins.
The undefeated Waubra beat Bungaree by 58 points, league leading goal-kicker Marcus Darmody booted six as Newlyn thrashed Daylesford to win the Pride Cup, Buninyong's Jarrod Morgan celebrated his 250th senior game with a good success at Learmonth, Gordon was far too classy for Clunes, Springbank stretched its winning streak by beating Carngham-Linton at Snake Valley and Hepburn forward Sam Dunstan kicked six majors in the Burras' triumph against Rokewood-Corindhap.
The other winner on Saturday was Dunnstown, which made it three on the trot by defeating Ballan.
The weekend's results meant the top eight didn't change in round 13.
