Ballarat SES attended about 20 incidents across the weekend as a cold front bought rain, hail, strong wind and freezing temperatures over the past four days.
Sunday night's windstorm resulted in several calls for fallen trees, with the strongest wind recorded in the early hours of Monday morning when a 57kmh gust blew through at 2.23am.
Two Ballarat SES crews were out overnight removing fallen trees, including one that fell on to a car but caused little damage, and securing house roofs.
In one incident a car ran off the road and hit a house in Howitt Street on Sunday resulting in the police, CFA and SES attending to assess and secure the damaged building.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings the feels like temperature struggled to get above freezing until almost midday, with temperatures dipping as rain showers moved through.
Ballarat's rainfall gauge recorded 6.8mm of rain over the weekend, which followed 11mm of rain on Thursday and Friday to bring the July total to 34.6mm, more than half the 66.6mm average rainfall for the month.
