After a scoreless first quarter, the Dragons came out firing in the second term, kicking a trio of goals to jump out to a 20-2 half time lead.
The second half mirrored the first as neither team registered a major score in the third term before East Point added another three goals in the final quarter to win 40-8.
Elsewhere the top of the table Redan Lions weren't able to get on the park against Carisbrook, winning via forfeit. The win keeps the Lions unbeaten this season.
The Cobras flexed its defensive muscle against Darley, not allowing the Devils to convert on a major score the entire game.
Melton kept its finals hopes alive with a big win over Sebastopol and Gisborne dominated Lake Wendouree, registering 40 scoring shots in the 125-9 win.
All eyes will be on the Rookies as they hope to knock off the Lions next weekend.
