The Reds overcame the absence of three players to win the match played at Morshead Park on Saturday.
Three Ballarat reserve players stepped in for the side to replace injured mainstays Liam Haintz, Haidar Al Saffar and Justin Whitcher.

The result delighted Ballarat head coach Jamie Winton who was relived to see the ball find the back of the net.
"Scoring has been a real problem for us in the last six to eight games," he said.
"But on the weekend we didn't have any trouble scoring and hopefully it's a sign of things to come."
The game ended on a sour note for Ballarat after captain Luke Swards hobbled off with an ankle injury.
The side will play second-placed Balmoral next week.
