Liam Hoy from Redan continues to make the running.
He is one ahead of Sebastopol defender Tony Lockyer, who continues to impress as the Burra pushes towards a possible finals campaign.
Lockyer's teammate Lachie Cassidy is another vote adrift in third place.
Then follows Daniel Burton (Bacchus Marsh), Lachie Bramble (Sunbury) and Lachie George (Redan) another votes back with six rounds to play.
The winner will be announced and presented with the award at the Henderson and McLean Medals night at Melton on Monday, Septemnber 16.
