Placed fourth and first respectively, the Lakers and Roos haven't faced off since round one of the Central Highlands Netball League season where East Point won at home 46-44.
A big win would go a long way in helping East Point keep its place on top of the ladder with Sunbury hot on the Roos' heels, sitting even on points and only 0.10 per cent behind.
Similarly the Lakers are in need of a win to help solidify its spot in the competition's top four with the Melton South Panthers positioned only one game behind Lake Wendouree.
To catch the Lakers, Melton South will need to pull off a major upset at home when it hosts the Sunbury Lions. The last time the two sides met, the Lions came away with a dominant 61-38 victory at home.
Elsewhere Ballarat and Bacchus Marsh face off in an important match-up as they both fight for the last finals spot, Sebastapol will aim to secure its second consecutive win when Darley comes to town and North Ballarat City will host the struggling Redan at Mars Stadium.
