A resident at the scene of the incident has told The Courier emergence service workers have freed a woman from the drivers seat of a vehicle involved in the crash.
The woman is now receiving medical attention from paramedics.
Earlier - 10.14pm
One person has been left trapped following a two car collision in Sebastopol on Saturday evening.
The crash took place at 9.42pm at the intersection of Victoria Street and Spencer Street.
It is unclear how the crash occurred, however both vehicles have suffered extensive damage to their front halves and one vehicle has been left smashed up against a property's fence.
Injuries are unknown, however one resident at the scene of the crash told The Courier that they could see a person trapped in one of the vehicles.
Ballarat Highway patrol confirmed the incident was still ongoing and could not provide any additional information.
