It was a courageous effort from the Rebels who overcame a 23-point deficit late to clinch the match 89-84 at Mars Stadium.
The victory delighted onlookers, many of whom thought the game was out of reach midway through the final term.
The Rebels trailed by only three points at three quarter time, but were ambushed by Bendigo which kicked three early goals to start the fourth.
With the game seemingly out of reach, the Rebels piled on four late goals, two of which came from the boot of Izaac Grant, to snatch a late win.
The victory marked the third win from four matches for the 13-placed squad which is looking to finish the year on a high note.
With only one round left to play, GWV will look to continue its form against Murray Bushrangers in two week's time.
