Ms McLennan will headline the inaugural Great Debate as part of Commerce Ballarat's B31 Business Festival and has intriguingly been assigned the negative case on the topic, Business should advocate for social change.
As well as being humourous, we want you to think about what's important and who should be and could be championing change in our community.
- Mike Hills, Leadership Ballarat and Western Region
She will team with Colliers International managing director Andrew Lewis and Ballarat funnyman Luke Massey. On the affirmative, they face fierce competition from the popular identity Bryce Ives, Runway Ballarat chief Linda Wong and comedian Tim Young.
Leadership Ballarat and Western Region are partnering with entrepreneurial co-working space Runway to stage the debate with a key purpose.
LBWR's Mike Hills hoped the event, while making you laugh, would get you thinking.
"As well as being humourous, we want you to think about what's important and who should be and could be championing change in our community," Mr Hills said. "Runway represents entrepreneurs and LBWR represents community involvement, so we that's a great marriage."
Minds At Work creative thinker Jason Clarke will act as moderator.
The hour-long debate will be followed by networking and food nibbles.
The Great Debate event is in the Flecknoe Building, off Albert Street in central Ballarat, on Thursday, 6-8pm.
