A big opportunity awaits the second-placed Dragons who can secure a semi-final berth against Redan with a win on Sunday at Marty Busch Reserve.
East Point co-captain Robyn McDonald said her side is feeling good ahead what is likely to be a close encounter.
"We're feeling really confident, we've had a really strong second-half of the season," she said.
"We've been building week from week, our thing is team style football, we don't rely on one or two people and everyone has a role to play."
It will be no easy task for the Dragons who will face a Melton outfit with an identity for playing tough, physical football.
Centrals finished in third place on the competition ladder, and will likely fancy its chances against East Point, having split the season series at one a piece.
But a high-powered attack has McDonald confident in her team's abilities.
East's trademark run and carry has seen it become one of the highest scoring outfits in the league, and the forward pairing of Emily Sculley and Zoe Waththen has proved a lethal combination.
"We've scored a lot of goals which has been different from last season and has been a big benefit," McDonald said.
McDonald said the Dragons' pace would provide an advantage, however they would need to match Melton's physicality.
"We know Melton to be a really physical team. They attack the ball pretty hard and we will need to do the same," she said.
McDonald said 2019 marks third year of this particular core which she said has gotten stronger each year.
After a heartbreaking loss to Redan saw the team fall just of short of a premiership in 2018, McDonald said the team was poised to go one better this season.
"Playing in a grand final is great, but winning one is the ultimate goal," she said.
"I think everyone who played in the losing side last year would like to be on the other side of that, and it's been a driving force this year."
Also on Sunday, Bacchus Marsh will play Gisborne in an elimination final at the same location.
The winner will play the loser of East Point and Melton next week.
