Cassidy avoided suspension in an appearance before the AFL Goldfields tribunal on Wednesday night.
He received a reprimand after pleading guilty to a charge which arose from a tackle he laid on East Point's Billy Jones at Marty Busch Reserve.
Jones was concussed and will miss Saturday's clash between the Roos and Darley at Darley Park.
Cassidy was initially offered a two-match suspension, but chose to take the report to the tribunal and seek a lighter sentence.
