The students performed in a dress rehearsal at the theatre on Sunday in preparation for their three public shows on August 24 and August 25, featuring recognisable tunes All That Jazz, Cell Block Tangle and Razzle Dazzle.
The cast of 60 singers, actors and dancers are aged between 12 and their mid-50s and have been working on the show since February.
"It is the same Chicago every knows and loves but we have changed it to make sure it is child friendly," Curtain Call Performing Arts Studios office manager Alexandra Crowe said.
"Our studio is very inclusive. Everyone gets their time to shine. We're all ages, all abilities and all experiences. It is important to the studio and important to our students."
Rehearsals will continue this week and the students will perform the show to the public next Saturday evening, Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon.
