The Rotary Club of Ballarat's Young Ambition has hundreds of children's titles in storage from previous book drives, with many donated by Rotary Clubs across Ballarat.
These titles will be available for a gold-coin donation, with all proceeds going to the Ballarat Toy Library.
The toy library reopened its doors this week in its new Barkly Square location.
Young Ambition president Jane Jens said the book drive was timely, coinciding with the end of Book Week and the Ballarat Toy Library's reopening.
"We know that children who are surrounded by books in their formative years will succeed when they get to school and as a club, we really want to foster the love of reading in our community," she said.

"We also support the role the Ballarat Toy Library plays in the community and raising funds for them helps them expand their offering for Ballarat families."
The book drive will be held this Sunday, August 25 from 9am to 3pm at the Rotary Club shed in Burnbank Street, next to the railway line.
